26/9/04: Running weekend
The Northern Road Relays at Blackpool yesterday saw Hallamshire Harriers follow up their 2nd place in last week's Yorkshire Champs by finishing 10th. All four women felt they could perhaps have run better legs but with conditions on the promenade tough with strong winds off the sea it was a well earned result. Jenny ran 3rd leg and brought the team up from 12th to 10th, after Chaanah Patton had pulled up 8 places on 2nd leg, handing over to Nicola Squires on last. The Hallamshire Men's team finished 9th.

On Sunday Jenny and Oli competed in the Stanage Struggle for Dark Peak and were both Winskilled! Oli finished in 2nd place, just behind Phil, while Jenny was just too tired to compete with Helen finishing 90 seconds down in 3rd place. Thanks to all the organisers for a great race (the sun was even shining) amd we are looking forward to spending our Outside vouchers.
