Japan 2005
WOC 2005 is going to be a fantastic opportunity. For the only time in the next 5 years the terrain will be neutral for Europeans. It is on great terrain that will provide a huge technical challenge as well as a physical one. It will be important to prepare well for this WOC by finding similar terrain at home. Easier said than done...

PWT Nagoya

Not so relevant for the World Champs but an exciting sprint race round a city park with real forest sections.

WRE Tashiro Taori

Long, complex route choice legs. Often there is no definitive best route, but there are bad routes! It is important to make a good choice and then commit to it. Sometimes you have to look very wide from the red line!
Middle Race Tashiro Taori

The terrain takes on a very different character in a middle distance. You have to make many micro route choices and judge your height very accurately. This race had areas of rock detail which you can also see on the embargoed maps.
